How it works

  1. Subscribe to the locations you rent in

Pick the provider sites you use. Narrow each one to your racks or rooms (OVHcloud) or datacenter buildings (Hetzner), and to the services you use.

  2. We check every hour and match

Upstreamr reads your providers’ notices every hour and keeps the ones that match your subscriptions. Matches wait in your admin: they’re not public, and nobody is notified.

  3. You post your own update

To tell your customers, post an incident or maintenance on your page in your own words. Your subscribers get it on their channels.

Your page shows only what you post.

What “matched” means

  • Location. The provider site you pick, such as GRA (Gravelines) or FSN (Falkenstein).
  • Rack, room or building. OVHcloud: racks or rooms. Hetzner: datacenter buildings, such as FSN1-DC14. If you list yours, a notice that names a rack or building matches only when it’s one of yours.
  • Service. Only notices about the services you use. Provider-wide notices match too, when they’re about a service you use.
The subscription form for one OVHcloud location, with a rack field and service checkboxes: the Limburg (LIM) site, Dedicated servers, and rack LIM0301B02C. Example organisation.

What we can’t see

We relay what your providers publish, checked every hour. For everything else, your monitors.
